Pari Intervallo

Arvo Pärt’s “Pari Intervallo” or “equal distance” is an expression of grief, where each step forward moves us equal distance from what we’ve lost. This EP is a meditation on that idea, realized as two distinct arrangements for harp.

Inspired by the sacred quality of Pärt’s music, these two works are meant to be heard back-to-back, a votive offering that transforms the act of listening into one of ritual purification. To listen to these works is to fully submit yourself to the ceremony of a vigil; to be first consumed, and then released.
